Parking charge deadline checker
Enter the date on your notice. This works out your discount deadline, your appeal window, and which independent appeals service handles your operator — POPLA or the IAS.
Dates are calculated from the notice date using the standard periods in the parking trade-association codes of practice. Your notice is the authority — always check the exact dates and deadlines printed on it. General information, not legal advice.
How the deadlines work
- Discount period (usually 14 days) — pay within this window and most operators reduce the charge, typically by 40%. Appealing does not extend it.
- Operator appeal (usually 28 days) — you must appeal to the operator first. They must consider it and, if they reject it, issue a code for the independent stage.
- Independent appeal (33 days from the rejection code) — free to you, decided by POPLA or the IAS depending on the operator's trade association.
