ADwhere tickets land
one ticket.
every street.
Supermarket, hospital, school gate or your own road: the paper on the windscreen is a deadline with a letter attached. Appeals Desk gives you the dates, the right appeals body and an appeal letter, free.
01private car park · the big shop
ten minutes over at the big shop.
Camera in, camera out, a letter a week later. The industry Code gives you a consideration period to read the terms and a grace period to leave, and the operator's own timestamps are where that shows.
02private car park · retail park
a sign you couldn't read is a contract you never made.
A private parking charge is an invoice, not a fine. Terms hidden at the entrance, unreadable from a moving car or unlit at night: signage is ground 1 of the free template letter, which calls it the most common successful ground.
03council street · yellow lines
double yellows run on different law.
Penalty Charge Notice means a council, not a company. The discount is exactly 50% for 14 days, counted with the day of service as day 1, and every stage of challenging it is free.
04council camera · bus lane
the camera posts it. you get 21 days.
A PCN sent by post after a camera gives 21 days at the 50% discount instead of 14. There is no Notice to Owner stage first: you make your representations straight to the council.
05council camera · school run
the school run, caught on camera.
School-gate markings are a council matter, so the paper says Penalty Charge Notice. Nothing freezes the 50% while you challenge, so work to the date on the notice, then the free adjudicator if they say no.
06private car park · hospital
you paid. one letter of the plate was wrong.
Many hospital car parks are run by private operators, and some NHS trusts sit on the member lists themselves. "I paid but mistyped the registration" is one of the answers the free letter builder is written for.
07private estate · permit bay
your street, your permit, their ticket.
On a privately managed road the charge comes from a company. Appeal as the registered keeper and do not say who was driving: naming the driver hands the operator something it would otherwise have to prove.
08the clock · 14, 28, 28
three clocks run. one is printed.
Day 14: the discount usually closes. Day 28: your free appeal to the operator ends. Then 28 days from a rejection for POPLA or the IAS, whichever your operator answers to. You do not get to pick.
09the letter · eight questions
the letter writes itself. you sign it.
Eight plain-English questions, about four minutes, and the whole letter appears on screen: your operator, your dates, the paragraph of its own Code quoted. No account, no email address, nothing stored.
10your appeal
your appeal. your words. your deadline.
In the year to 30 September 2025 POPLA concluded 107,202 appeals and 49,080 ended with the charge cancelled. That is other people's cases, not a promise about yours. The letter is free, and so is the download.
